Is this training suitable for job seekers?
Yes, job seekers can learn practical writing, research and resume-drafting skills. AI must not invent qualifications or experience, and training does not guarantee a job outcome.
Audience training
AI training for workforce development is hands-on education for job seekers and workplace teams, led by Augusta Uwah, MD, MPH, in Indianapolis and central Indiana or virtually nationwide.
This training is for workforce boards, job seekers, administrative professionals, libraries, HR teams and organizations supporting reentry or upskilling programs. Participants do not need to share the same job title or technical background. The starting point is ordinary work: writing a clear message, researching a question or preparing a plan.
Facilitators and program leaders can request a session that reflects the audience’s experience level. Job seekers may focus on explaining their skills, while workplace teams may focus on consistent drafts and review. The purpose is practical education, not a promise of employment, promotion or a particular productivity outcome.
Participants learn to treat AI as an assistant whose work needs context and review. A useful prompt states the task, audience, background and expected format. A useful review asks whether the answer is true, relevant and appropriate. These six skills apply across tools rather than depending on one product.
AI as Your Personal Assistant is a 45 to 60 minute hands-on session on writing, research, scheduling and problem-solving. AI Literacy for the Modern Workforce is a 90 minute or half-day workshop on practical tools, responsible use and workflow integration. Libraries and community organizations can also consider AI 101 for Nonprofits & Community Organizations, a 60 minute session or lunch-and-learn.
Sessions are available in person across Indianapolis and central Indiana or virtually nationwide. Request a private session through the homepage form, sharing your audience size, preferred workshop and format. The bookings page lists public dates when available; reserving a spot leads to a confirmation email with a cancel link.
AI can produce confident answers that are inaccurate, incomplete or biased. A fluent draft is not evidence. Check factual claims against original sources, inspect assumptions and decide whether the output fits the people it will affect. Ask what is missing, whose perspective is absent and who should review the work before it is shared.
Never enter PHI or confidential information into non-approved tools. Follow your organization's policies and, in healthcare settings, HIPAA requirements. A paid account or privacy setting alone does not establish approval for patient data. Use fictional examples during practice and ask your organization's appropriate teams which tools and uses are permitted.
Sessions are educational and are not medical, legal or compliance advice. Participants should follow their organization's policies. Keep a human responsible for the final work, and do not use AI-generated text as a substitute for professional judgment, qualified advice or an established review process.
